Description: Judas' main pelt is a sandy tannic color, and he has some small patches of brown and black dotting his paws and his nose fade consist of tiny brown spots. His paws are twice as broad as those of normal lion suggesting desert ancestry. Judas' canine teeth is one of his most distinctive features, they are slightly longer than normal making them visible even if the lion's mouth is closed, he also has the making of a scruffy black beard linging his chin.
Also his thin mane is two colored; the upper part of the mane, is a light brown color, and the lower part of his mane is a deep charcoal black; his tail tuft also sport this color. His body however is thin, but still not frail or sickly looking, and his eyes shine of a deep hazel brown. The young leonine body is currently covered with various minor scars, most of them are in the process of healing.
Personality: Judas is a reserved, and if not troubled individual. Despite his sometimes tortured demeanor he can provoke a smile, laugh from time to time, and even crack a joke if he's in the right mood. But most of the time he is quite serious, and doesn't seem to be the humoristic type, he is also very much a thinker and philosopher but not so much a dreamer. He tends to brood over the darker aspects of life; wars, conflicts, and the general relationship between various factions. But all in all he sees himself a diplomat, or rather peace keeper and he very rarely holds any grudges, neither political or personal.
Some has said that he is an eternal pessimist cause he seem to concern himself with the negative aspects in almost everything, and on top of this he has a streak of cynicism, to wards lions in particular. But besides his gloomy personality he embodies an almost chivalrous attitude and a fierce loyalty to those he considers friends.
He's trustworthy and keeps both promises and secrets with a religious zeal, but once betrayed regaining his trust is next to impossible. And a first impression means a lot to Judas, if you score a good point there, chances are that unless you have ill-intent, you may have well found a friend for life. Based on his personality many has a hard time believing that this lion is a highly trained assassin, he doesn't fit the stereotype at all.
History: Judas wasn't born in the Outlands, and not even in the Pridelands for that matter. But his early years is a mystery at least to him. He doesn't remember much of his parents mainly because he has never met them and those of his pride he asked told him that he was an orphaned which they had taken in when he was just a tiny cub, thus he grew up in side the borders of the Mwenyezi pride lands. But what he has been told is far from the truth; He was actually kidnapped from his rogue mother one fine starry night.
The pride's shaman had for told the coming of a creature with a heart has a black as void, who's arrival would mark great chances for the pride, and make them prosper. Judas' captives believed this to him, but as with all prophecies their ambiguous and faulty as best. However his adoptive pride was deeply religious and quite superstitious. They believed Judas was marked by the stars with the gift to take the lives of others; an assassin they would prove to be right, though Judas' 'gift' come to light sooner than anyone of the pride had ever expected, even the lionesses who cared for him was surprised.
Judas was teased most of his cub hood by the other cubs of his pride, but the worst came not from a pridal cub but an adopted orphaned, named Teemar, the Mwenyezi pride had a tendency to kidnap cubs from surrounding prides as their ridged hierarchy gave only the king and queen right to have cubs, thus making the number of legitimate cubs of this pride drastically lower than those of the surrounding prides. Regardless Teemar was much like Judas himself despite the fact that Teemar was a bully, one day Judas decided to end the cub's reign of terror over him.
The assassin trainee told Teemar to follow him; he had found something interesting in a cave which he wanted to show. Being bored and having little else to do Teemar reluctantly followed Judas to the caves, and it was there the young assassin ambushed the other cub, and killed him. When the adults arrived they found the blood drenched Judas standing over the bloodied body of Teemar who was barely alive and had blood foaming out of his mouth, it was clear that Judas had ripped his throat out, causing the cub to suffocate it's own blood. No one had expected that a cub, a mear child could be capable of such conscious cold blooded, and if not sadistic murder.
After this incident Judas' training program, intensified now turning it's focus on obedience, and loyalty. You never ask questions about assignments and never ever do you disagree with your superior or his decisions. Absolute loyalty was expected of an assassin of the Mwenyezi pride lands. As the years dragged on Judas grew as well his skills and as soon as he reached adolescence his training was completed.
His life would soon take an sharp turn though, Judas was used to be one who killed those marked by his king, but after his now ex-pride led by the queen revolted against their ruler and had the king, his lover as well as his illegitimate offspring killed; All that where loyal to the deceased king was driven to silence under their new leader, the queen was ruthless in her dealings with traitors.
Judas despite the risks he put himself in simply refused to accept the take over nor the allegiance he should have held to his new queen even though it was his duty as a royal assassin. Naturally young lion was smart enough not to breath a word about his disdain to anyone in the pride, except a cub; the kings legitimate son who was too young to really understand the politics that went on around him.
Realizing that the longer he stayed in the pride the higher was the chance that he too would suffer the same fate as the king himself, thus the assassin left the Mwenyezi, never to return. As he left his pride he also left his profession and title behind, vowing never again to kill a fellow lion in cold blood, or because of 'orders'.

Night had finally arrived, after a restless slumber of nearly six hours he had reason to awake. The cold stone floor, of his little sanctuary despite being padded with dry grass and soil was still very uncomfortable, after almost 300 years he still hadn't mastered the art of building dens a feat it seemed he would never master.
A pair of pale red eyes squirted through the pitch blackness of his home, he could see clearly in here despite the lack of any form of light, indeed this place was seemingly devoid of light. And with a good reason, Vincent was a semi-nocturnal being, literally speaking he couldn't afford contact with sunlight, and no sunlight naturally meant that neither the light of the moon would penetrate into his hive.
Weary limbs stretched to ease the muscles of his body, this followed by a faint yawn as the leonine creature made it's way out of the barrow's entrance, the silvery light of the moon covered the dark savanna. Starry nights like this wasn't an uncommon sight for Vincent, in fact they made his nightly routine easier, the pale sandy colored pelt seemed to shine under the moonlight creating a nearly ghostly aura around him. Picking a random direction the vampire lion strode off into the darkness.
It was time for Vincent to leave the area surrounding his den, and find some other pastures. But first he needed food, rats and other creatures would sustain him through the night, but this evening he was indeed of something special if he hoped to make a long distant journey. To night he was a hunter of his own kin, lions.
